program year upgrade

I've been using 2010 Pro since 2010 - 14 years.  I have always enjoyed great sccess in using 2010 Pro.  I recently obtained 2013 Pro.  I have not had serious problems with 2010, but I think I need start to bring my program year up to date in incremental jumps.  From your past experience, are you aware of any inherent problems I might encounter in opening my 2010 Pro company file with 2013 Pro?  I am willing to pay for this information.

@brocope  Nothing specific comes to mind aside from the normal risks with old software, but I highly suggest creating a back-up of your company prior to each jump; as you likely know, once you upgrade, you can't go back down.

I highly doubt Intuit will be very helpful if something does go wrong; they don't support the old versions very well, if at all.

@brocope

You should be fine. Open your company file on QBD 2010 and secure a backup file (*.qbb). Then restore the backup file on QBD 2013.
