Purchase orders

What kind of business do you run? You may need an additional app to do so.

I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts and ideas about customizing Purchase Order (PO), @cma887.

The option to do so isn't possible in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a way around, you can look for a third-party app that lets you customize your PO.

You can go to the Apps menu or visit our QuickBooks App Center for additional reference. Alternatively, you can send us your feedback so our product Developer team can review it and might consider adding it in the future. Let me show you how.

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Feedback. 
3. Enter your comments or product suggestions. 
4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

By the time your vendor accepts your PO, you'll want to record it as a bill or expense. To be guided, feel free to utilize this link: Add purchase orders to expenses, bills, or checks in QuickBooks Online. This contains tips and tricks in managing your payables seamlessly.
