I can't seem to find any info on this...
The QBDataServiceUser23 user account seems to be filling up with a large amount of seemingly temporary .dat files. The file path that these are stored at is c:\users\qbdataserviceuser23\appdata\local\temp. The filenames are all in this format: search_data.##########.dat.
I'm not sure what these are for, so I'm hesitant to delete them, but they're consuming almost 30gb at this point. Does anyone know what these files are for/from?
Thanks!

Indeed, you can delete temp files as long as the DAT files are in the user's directory. Programs create temp files while running and are usually deleted when the program closes. However, sometimes, they can be left behind, and deleting them can free up disk space and improve performance. Just make sure to delete temp folders only.

I am the IT personnel. We have backups. I'm just trying to verify that it's safe to remove these files. I understand what a DAT file is, but being they're being created in a temp folder, I'm not sure if they're needed or if they're some sort of automatically saved searches/queries.
