QB Online Migration

Hi All,

I installed the trial version of QB 2019 a few months ago and successfully imported my company file. After that, I used the CTRL+1 and CTRL+B+Q shortcut keys to migrate it online.

Both the desktop and online trial periods had now expired. I reinstalled QB 2019 trial and attempted to migrate my new company file online today. This time, I'm having a problem with the procedure. The shortcut keys are operational, but an update is required. I tried to migrate online again after updating it, but it keeps asking me to update. It does not direct you to the online account sign-in window. How can I perform this QB2019 professional QB Online migration?

Thanks for posting detailed info about your QuickBooks migration concern, @Anonymous. I'm here to provide additional steps to ensure you'll perform the process smoothly.

I can see you did everything you could. To fix this, you can download and install a new trial version for QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and restore your company file from there. With this, we can make sure that the data is updated. Currently, QBDT 2023 is the only available trial version you can use.

Before we begin, create a backup copy of your file first. Once ready, download a trial version of QBDT and then install it. When finished, restore your company data. After that, proceed to the migration process.

When done, below are the articles you can check that provide details on how you can start working with your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company:

Please let me know if you have questions about the recommendations above and post a reply below. I'm always here ready to help migrate your company data. Wishing you all the best and take care.

@Anonymous

QBD 2019 is outdated and you should have a supported version to migrate your data to QBO. You can utilize the trial version for QBD 2020-2023 to proceed.
