QB POS with future QB versions. Please continue to allow End of Day procedure!!!

We have used QB POS for over 20 years.  Like many others, I lost years off my life when we got the news of no more POS.  This Spring, like many others, we upgraded to QB Desktop pro 2023 and we made sure (via tech support) that POS V.19 would still work with our new QB desktop.  Thank goodness it does!   We use only a fraction of the POS's capability.  Mainly the time clock feature, work orders, inventory (in a very elementary way) and obviously sales.  We started using square, instead of QB payments, to process our credit cards this past Spring.  It has worked great.  What I am really wondering is...... Will future versions of QB still allow me to use the End of Day feature?  I have just my single store.  So I don't use any of the store exchange stuff.  That stuff is ending Oct 3 2023 anyways.  I have chosen not to switch to a new POS at this time because we like QB POS so much and it works perfect for what we do with it.  It would really be great if Intuit would make future QB versions to still allow the end of day process, to exchange a few basic stuff that we use.   All I need it to do is to send the days sales (for selecting them to deposit in QB), clock in and clock out times, and sales (for figuring sales tax in QB).  Since I am an idiot, I don't know what is involved in continuing to allow the financial data exchange / End of Day procedure.  But that would be very super and great if it could continue to be done with future versions of QB.

QB POS with future QB versions. Please continue to allow End of Day procedure!!!

We are pleased to have had the opportunity to have you for over two decades, Bpoe. Let me share further details regarding the discontinuation policy of the QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) product.

You are correct that the QuickBooks POS software will no longer be supported after October 3, 2023. Additionally, the ability to perform a financial exchange and run an End of Day Procedure will also be discontinued.

Feel free to visit this page for more details about the product update: Discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale FAQs.

Moreover, you can easily keep track of your sales and expenses using predefined customer, job, and sales reports on your QuickBooks Desktop. You'll also be able to customize the report to focus on the information that matters most to your business.

Feel free to return to this thread if you have clarifications about the discontinuation of QuickBooks POS. We'll always be around to assist you.

Yes we are still using QB POS and it is working perfect for what we need.  And no, I am not having any issues with end of day procedure.  I am using QB Desktop Pro Plus 2023.  I am wondering if the end of day procedure will still work with QB Desktop 2024, If I upgrade.

I do not have my QB POS linked with my QB Desktop. On Saturday, my drawer was $53 over. Then, it has been over everyday since. I totlaed up my sales history to compare it with my end of day sales and it is off every day. There seems to be no ryhme or reason to it. Sometimes it is missing cash sales and sometimes checks. Super frustrating.
