I can see how ideal it is to customize a form with a full window display. Let me guide you on how to fix your screen issues and get back on track with the full display, Deb MRH-VA.
You can change the display default settings to get the recommended and correct setup and get the best result for your QuickBooks Desktop 2024 version. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Open the Windows Start menu.
- Type "QuickBooks" into the search. Then right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
- In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behavior.
- Click Apply and then OK.
If this works, you're good to go now. However, if it doesn't adjust your view preferences in QuickBooks. Here's how:
- In QuickBooks, go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Select Desktop View from the list and then the My Preferences tab.
- In the View section, select the One Window option. Then select OK.
After that, close and reopen QuickBooks and your company file. If it's still not working, continue changing your Windows display setting. I've provided a detailed steps below:
- Follow the steps from Microsoft to reset the default display settings for Windows 10 and Windows 8.
- Set your screen resolution to at least 1024 x 768. We recommend 1920 x 1080 for the best display.
- Next, reset your computer, and open QuickBooks and your company file.
Furthermore, you can also find this feature useful to memorize transactions so you'll get a reminder every time it's due. Check out this article for more details: Create, Edit, or Delete Memorized Transactions.
