QB window will not open

Hoping someone can help. My quickbooks is stuck like you see in the photo attached. It's like it's frozen - only QB though. The rest of my computer is fine. I restarted my computer, and also did a QB update, issue still occurs. I also can't close out of it, so I do Task Manager to End Task, and it doesn't say "Not Responding" or anything like that. TIA!

Also, thanks for letting us know that you already restarted your computer and updated QuickBooks as well. Let me share additional troubleshooting that can resolve common program issues when working in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Start by running the repair tool. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Windows Start menu, then select Control Panel. If you're using Windows 8 or 8.1, search "Control Panel" in the Windows Start menu.
  2. Click Programs and Features then select Uninstall a Program. If you don't see it, look for Programs instead. Then, click Program and Features.
  3. Select QuickBooks from the list of programs, then click Uninstall/Change.
  4. Click Continue or Next.
  5. Select Repair, then click Next.
  6. Click Finish once the repair is complete.

 

Once done, restart your computer once again. Then, open QuickBooks to check if you're able to go to your company file and perform a task.
