Hi,
I go to the Item list, then when start to type in a new item, the system crashes and goes to Terminal.
Has anyone experienced this and could someone please assist?
Thank you kindly,
Hey there, @360HC! I've got a set of steps that can help you prevent crashes in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac when entering new items.
First, let's restart your computer to give it a fresh start. After that, ensure to update your QBDT for Mac program to the latest release. This will ensure you have the newest components and bug fixes.
Once that's done, create a statement and check if the program crashes again. If it does, we'll use the Verify utility to identify any data that needs fixing. If any issues are found, we can fix them using the Rebuild tool.
Here's how:
If these steps don't work, we'll try running your computer in Safe Boot mode to see if there's a conflict between QBDT and any other installed software. Here's how:
If you still experience the same thing, you can follow Solutions 5 to 6 of this article: Troubleshoot Crash Catcher.
Once everything is resolved, you'll be able to create, print, and email statements without any issues. I've also included a helpful resource that you can use as a guide for processing customer payments online: Turn on online payments in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
If you have any other concerns or need further assistance with your QBDT for Mac program, feel free to leave a reply below. Stay safe!
What version of QuickBooks Mac? What version of macOS? Have you tried File->Utilities->Verify?
Thank you all so much!
The file, utilities, verify worked!
Have a great day,
Sarah
