Greetings:
I have my QBO Certified Pro Advisor Certification along with Payroll Advisor. How do I get those certifications added to my new work address so that it will appear on my profile and allow me to monitor when I need to recertify? I certified under a previous employer's email address and I don't want to have to do all of the training and testing again.
Thank you,
Jeff.
We appreciate your commitment to maintaining your credentials as you transition to a new email address, @jstuber1967. I’m here to provide clarification about ProAdvisor certifications in QuickBooks.
Please note that each ProAdvisor certification is tied to a specific email address. As a result, certifications cannot be transferred to a new different address.
To ensure that your credentials accurately reflect your new address information, you’ll want to retake the certification courses under your new email.
While this require some additional effort, completing the certification process again will allow you to maintain your credentials linked to your new email and keep track of recertification timelines.
I'm adding these articles you can use to get answers to commonly asked questions about QuickBooks Online training and certification:
Feel free to ask questions about ProAdvisor certification in the comments below. I'll make sure to look into it and help you anytime.
It is ridiculous that I can spend 80 hours becoming a Certified Pro Advisor, and even more to become a Certified Payroll Advisor and then find out that the credentials are tied to an email and your suggestion is to do it all again on the new email address. If I can produce the certificate I received, along with the email address it was obtained under, I should be able to transfer that credential. If I had other professional certifications, they would stay with me, not with the educational facility or employer I worked for when it was obtained.
