QBO Payroll Setup

Hello,

One of my clients needs to setup QBO Payroll.  They want to use QB Time.  I am not familiar with every step of payroll. Is there a tutorial that walks through every part of setting up QB Payroll. (Including QB Time)

QBO Payroll Setup

Let me provide the steps and links on how to set up QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Time, schmidtfs.

 

Setting up payroll depends on what plan you have. If your clients are using Core and Premium, here's what you need to do.

 

  1. Open QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select Payroll, then select Overview.
  3. Select Get started.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to fill in the info requested.

If they're using Elite, they can opt to do the payroll setup yourself. Or have a payroll expert set up all or some of it for you as part of your plan. Learn more about this through this link: Get started with QuickBooks Online Payroll.

 

To use QuickBooks Time, your client can follow these steps.

 

  1. Go to TSheets.com.
  2. Enter your email address (usually your work e-mail address), and select Try QuickBooks Time free!
  3. Enter your company information, then select Try It FREE For 14 Days!
  4. Select Buy Now, and complete the payment information. This window will display each day you open QuickBooks Time within the trial period. You can add your payment information at any time within that period.
  5. You will receive a welcome email from QuickBooks Time Support. Open the email, and select Confirm My Email.

 

After that, your clients can sync QuickBooks Time to QBO. I'm adding these articles to guide them through the process.

 

 

Once the setup is ready, they can start paying their employees.
