QBSE - Etsy transaction sync broken, no notifcation provided, purposely not getting fixed?

We have the old QBSE, and it's been working fine, last week the Etsy transaction sync stopped working.   We've called and chatted with support multiple times and they don't really provide any answers and all they really say is "please try to upgrade, good luck" and then basically hang up the phone.

I'm just looking for an official level of clarification on whether or not QBSE is no longer going to have Etsy transaction syncing.  If it's something that's no longer supported or going to be supported someone should say so or that should be communicated.  Is that the official response?  That it's forever gone for QBSE?  It's been not working now since Feb 9th so it's obviously not a priority.  Any clarification that can be provided would be helpful.

Thanks

Hello there, @rfmagnet. I understand that the interruption of your long-standing Etsy sync presents a challenge, particularly as this integration is no longer a priority for the Self-Employed platform. I recommend utilizing manual CSV imports or upgrading to QuickBooks Online to ensure a more reliable connection moving forward.

While QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) remains functional for existing subscribers, it is being gradually phased out in favor of newer platforms, including QuickBooks Solopreneur and QuickBooks Online (QBO). Consequently, technical issues with third-party connections may persist, as the "Etsy Connector" and official "Sync with Etsy" apps are now designed specifically for the modern interface in QBO.

Since upgrading is not an option for you, I recommend manually importing your Etsy CSV files to ensure your 2026 records remain accurate while the sync is unavailable.

  1. Go to the Transactions menu
  2. Select click the Dropdown arrow beside the Add transaction button.
  3. Upload your Etsy CSV to ensure your 2026 books stay up to date while the sync is down.
