Hi there, @DOMPHOENIXDR.
You'll need to ensure you run the setup correctly before authorizing QODBC to QBDT so that you'll be able to accept the authorization form successfully. I'm here to guide you through this process.
Based on the article from QODBC about connecting it to your QBDT, you will need to click the Yes button to authorize QODBC to QBDT. Since you mentioned that you need to type the word Yes to authorize, it would be much helpful if you could provide a screenshot so we can visually identify the cause of the inability to type in the text field.
To begin, let's turn off the default Run as Administrator mode of your QBDT in Windows. Here's how:
Next, let's ensure that you're not running QBDT as administrator mode. You can see the status of your QBDT if it's ran as administrator by checking in the task manager. Here's how:
After opening QBDT, make sure to open your company file as the admin. Then, start running QODBC Test Tool again to authorize it to your QBDT.
Furthermore, you can also consider hosting your company data in multi-user mode in QBDT.
If you need help with hosting your company file for multi-user mode, let me know. I'd be glad to help you anytime.
