Buy nowI do the books for a charitable organization, and am using Quickbooks Online. I am using 'Customers' field as donors, so I can track each donor' total donation and prepare receipts at year-end accordingly.
Currently, the only way I can see how much each donor has donated is by running the "Income by Customer (read donor) Summary" report, because when I navigate to the Customer tab in QB, it is showing 0 transactions for each customer. My thinking is that this is the case because I am not entering an invoice for each donation received, rather just entering the cash received and applying it to the respective donor.
Is there a way I can drilldown on each customer/donor, such that it lists each donation made? I know that the relevant data has been entered (i.e. cash received, specified by customer & date), so I would think there should be a way to modify the Customers' tab in QB to allow for such a query. Please help!
Greetings, @simon84Heichal.
It's great to see a new face here in the Community. Let's work together to figure out what would be best to show transactions/details in a customer's transaction list.
To clarify, how are you enter the donations in your QuickBooks Online account?

Hello,
I enter the donation as a bank deposit, making sure to specify the "Received From" to be that of the specific donor.
We're glad to have you back. Also, we appreciate the information you've added above, simon84Heichal.

There likely isn't a way to do that when using QB Online.
However, you can both see the donation data entered as deposits and create donor statements to send to your donor-customers using our BRC Donor Statements - QB Online (or our BRC Donor Statements - QB Desktop when using QuickBooks Desktop).
