Questions About Desktop Plus Plan Renewal and User Setup

I’m reaching out with a few questions regarding our current QuickBooks plan, which is set to renew in September.
  1. Contract Term: Are we required to commit to a 12-month contract upon renewal, or is there a month-to-month option available for our plan?
  2. User Licenses and Pricing:
    Our current license is set up for 2 users. Could you confirm if the price would be different if we reduced it to 1 user? If so, what would the cost be? Additionally, are there any less expensive plans available that might still support our basic needs (to give you context, we use QuickBooks primarily to invoice clients and for basic accounting. We do not process payments through QuickBooks or use it for payroll)?
  3. Remote Access/Server Setup:
    If the pricing is the same for 1 vs. 2 users, would it be possible to designate my boss’s computer as the “server” so that I (her assistant) can access and use QuickBooks from my computer?

Welcome to the Community! I'd be more than happy to answer your question about your QuickBooks Desktop Plus plan renewal and user setup. 

 

Answer to question 1: We currently only offer annual subscriptions. 

 

Answer to question 2: We recommend asking and reviewing your account and other options with our sales team. Here's the direct phone number to reach them when you get a chance: 1-833-225-7551. 

 

Answer to question 3: Since the server need to be set up in multi-user mode and you'd like to only have one license, this wouldn't work.

You can't reduce your user licenses. You might consider renewing through a reseller and get $200 cashback to reduce the renewal cost.

 

are there any less expensive plans available that might still support our basic need

If you don't need to run any add-ons, you should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA directly via email for advice. You may want to consider running the old QB Desktop with a non-subscription license.
