Quickbooks data didn't transfer to turbotax

I understand the challenges this has caused you, Erin. Let me help you troubleshoot the issue you're experiencing with your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) data.

Please know that there are certain tasks you need to do before the export can finish if you sent your accounting data from QuickBooks Self-Employed and it didn't appear in TurboTax.

When you start the export process from QuickBooks Self-Employed, make sure you are not logged in to any other QuickBooks product, as that could cross wires and block data.

If you started the export process from TurboTax Self-Employed directly, sign out and sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

In addition, ensure that you have completed the tax checklist in the Annual Taxes tab in QBSE. If the checklist is still visible, you need to complete more prep work before exporting.

Once everything is exported from QBSE, TurboTax will ask you to complete a questionnaire that covers basic tax and business information. You can follow the onscreen steps for each question and complete the entire questionnaire in order before doing anything else in TurboTax Self-Employed. Do not navigate away from the page as that may stop the export.

Once you reach the Self-employment income and expenses section under the Wages and income page in the Federal tab, the export is complete, and should be able to see all your data.

To proceed with the other steps, you can refer to this article: QuickBooks-Self Employed data won't transfer to TurboTax Self-Employed

Just in case, visit this article to know what to do if you need to send data QBSE to TurboTax Self-Employed, but don't use the same sign-in info for both accounts: Send QuickBooks Self-Employed tax data to TurboTax Self-Employed using different sign-in info

Don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have further questions about data transfer in QBSE. The Community is always available to help. Take care.
