Buy now & saveI don't use any add on services for Quickbooks Desktop 2022, I use as standalone on PC, do i still have to upgrade to 2024?

You technically don't have to upgrade to 2024 if you find the features of version 2022 sufficient. However, please note that if you do not upgrade by May 31, 2025, you will lose access to live technical support and other Intuit services integrated with QuickBooks Desktop, such as QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop Payments, and online bank feeds. Additionally, discontinued versions will no longer receive essential security updates, potentially exposing your financial data to vulnerabilities.
Please be reminded that after May 31, 2025, QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2022 and all its variants, including Pro, Premier, Mac, and Enterprise Solutions, will be discontinued.
For detailed information on service discontinuation for 2022, please refer to this article: QuickBooks Desktop 2022 service discontinuation policy.
If you decide to upgrade to 2024, you'll find the necessary system requirements in this document: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2024.
Should you have any further questions or queries regarding the discontinuation of QBDT 2022, please feel free to reach out to the Community anytime.
Intuit will support QB Desktop 2022 until May 2025. You can log in to CAMPS and find your license code to update to 2024. You do not need to upgrade to 2024 if you prefer to keep using 2022.

I also have Quickbooks 2022 standalone and do not use any additional services. It was working just fine until last week, when I started receiving "You need to update your subscription." I have never had a subscription. I always purchased standalone products. Why is it demanding one now?
I'll be glad to explain why you're prompt this message, melomind.
As of now, QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2022 and later versions are subscription-based. As a result, you will encounter the subscription update prompt you mentioned. If you want to verify your license details, you can log into your CAMPS to check them.
Additionally, please know that support for QBDT 2022 will discontinue after May 31, 2025. Without an updated subscription, you'll lose access to live technical support, as well as essential features including payroll processing, payment services, and online bank feeds. Moreover, maintaining an outdated version without the latest security patches and updates could expose your financial data to security risks.
For more information about this, please read this article: QuickBooks Desktop 2022 service discontinuation policy.

The gentleman who started this thread appears to be able to continue as he always has. Why can't I? I don't use any additional services. Quickbooks 2022 works fine for me as is. I have never used Quickbooks support until today, and I have been using Intuit products since Quicken 1.0. This seems like a very belated bait and switch. I purchased Quickbooks Pro 2022 standalone specifically because I that is all I need. I have clients that I recommended the standalone products to, who are now calling because they want to know what's going on. They are not happy with me, and they are angry with Intuit. Perhaps it is time to look in to another accounting software package for myself and my clients. I don't want to, but it may be necessary.
Thank you for responding to my query. If you know of anyone else who may be able to provide me with a different answer or result, could you please provide their information in a response to this message?
Thank you,
melomind
Starting QB Desktop 2022, they only offer subscription licenses. I am not sure you can find your license code in CAMPS.
You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA to switch to an old QB Desktop with a non subscription license.
Thanks Chrea. I have my license code, but it is not listed in my account. Only an older version is currently listed there. It won't let me add the necessary information to my account. Now when I try to activate the software it wants a code, which I don't have. This is a really bad time for this to be happening, as I'm trying to complete tax returns. Very frustrating!
Thanks for sending the link.

You can use the QB Desktop 2022 Enterprise trial to open your company file immediately. Then you will consider your options from there. Contact Fiat Lux and they can share the installer file.
