Buy nowThis problem seems so strange to me that I'm not even sure how to search for it.
For certain functions in Quickbooks desktop it requires users to log into their quickbooks account via the built in browser in the program. Since Intuit has purchased several programs over the years I have several logins for work and personal, and I accidentally logged in with the wrong credentials.
I got a popup that says "You do not have the access to perform this action. To complete this, request for access from your Primary Admin." There is an "OK" button that when clicked will close the browser and whatever else I was working on that prompted the browser.
The problem is that I can find no way to log out so that I can log in with the correct credentials to complete what I'm working on. I thought that this would eventually log out over time and opening/closing the program, but it's been about 5 days and I was logged out for the majority of 3 of those. I attempted to change the password for that incorrect user online to see if it would log that user off in the quickbooks browser and it did not resolve this.
This problem just seems so off the wall to me and while it seems like there should be a fairly obvious solution, I'm not finding anything that I can do at all.
Does anyone have any idea how I can resolve this?

I appreciate you for getting back in the thread, @dfghfhfghfg. I'm here now, and I'll help you out of this situation so you can log in with the correct intuit credentials and proceed to complete your tasks in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company.
Since you're not able to perform any action in your company file using the current login credentials, I'd recommend signing out the intuit account that you've use in that company file and replace it with the account that has the primary admin access. To do that, you'll want to go to the Company tab. Here's how:
Please know that the best way to handle this is to ensure that the QuickBooks Desktop company file Admin user should also be the Intuit account Primary Admin. This account should also be the account that's associated with the CAMPS.
If the issue persists, I'd recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Customer Care Team. This way, they'll be able to check your account and determine the root cause of the issue. See this article: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.
Once done, see this article about scheduling an online payment to vendors in QBDT: Pay bills online from QuickBooks Desktop.

I'll help you get back on track, @dfghfhfghfg. I'd be happy to walk you through some troubleshooting steps to assist you in resolving the login issue.
Thank you for providing such thorough information about your problem. I want to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Ensure that you correctly set up the user. This way, you can go through the login process. To review the setup for the user's roles and permissions, you can run a Permission Access by Roles report.
Go as follows:
Once confirmed and the issue persists, I recommend deleting and re-creating the user to refresh the connection. For complete steps, visit this link: Create and manage users and roles in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
If the issue remains, you can run the Verify and Rebuild tool to help repair it. Complete the following procedures:

I'm not entirely sure that I explained it well enough that we're talking about the same thing. However, the suggestion of deleting and recreating the user sounds like may work.
I would like to avoid resorting to that if possible, so I am going to explain a little better to make sure I'm expressing it clearly enough.
The specific action that I am trying to take is to schedule online payments to vendors. I can also get to the same browser window if I click File>App Management>Manage Web apps. Even if my user is set up with full access (I am, since I am the principle and the only one that has full access), it will still sometimes ask me to log into my intuit online account via the built in web browser when performing certain steps.
But when that browser window comes up I only see the message that I don't have the permissions (image attached this time, assuming I uploaded it correctly). I understand the account I logged in with doesn't have those permissions (and should not), but I don't have any way to log out of that account in the browser so that I can log in with the correct intuit credentials.
I don't believe that this is a problem that can be fixed through user management other than maybe deleting the user will make Quickbooks stop remembering that login on the internal browser. I would like that to be a last resort.
There's no problem with the data or company file either, so I don't know that verify/rebuild would have any effect unless it incidentally logged me out on the internal browser as well. Unfortunately there is no back button or any other controls on the built in browser, and even after changing my password online it has not logged me out.

This is exactly what I needed! Just not very intuitive of where to find it.
Going to unsave the wrong login from my password manager so that I don't do that again.
Was just very odd that when it opened the internal browser it didn't offer any way to log out or correct the issues in that particular window.
Thank you!
I think my last reply didn't get saved, but thank you, this screen was exactly what I needed.
This was actually more steps than required in my case, as soon as I saw which email I had logged in with I was able to click the drop down and log out.
But this is very good information for anyone else that may be in my boat and don't have an option on the screen they're looking at.
Deleting the old logins from my password manager now so that I don't accidentally do this again.
