Join nowWe have recently upgraded from QB2016 to QB2022. Like in the previous version, we have our company file on a server running the Database Server Manager (DSM) and two workstations that access it.
Everything works fine until we try to back up our file. Instead of minutes, it can take an hour.
I ran a scan on our server using the DSM and it complained that there were network issues that I needed to resolve.
After talking with support and doing my homework, it appears that you have to allow the Everyone group access to the directory share and that solved the problem.
Am I crazy or does allowing everyone access to the directory present a problem due to the sensitivity of the information? BTW, we didn't have to do it this way with QB2016.
Has anyone run into this problem and figured out a workaround?
How big is your file size?
