Quickbooks Enterprise v21 - Windows Server

Hello there, mpark1111.

I'll share some insights about the supported operating systems for the 2021 version.

For now, Windows Server 2022 is not included yet in the list of servers compatible with any QuickBooks Desktop versions. You'll want to check the system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2021 to ensure you can run the software seamlessly.

You can also visit this article to get updates on the new and upcoming changes to the latest QuickBooks version:

I'll be here to keep helping if you have other system requirements concerns.

Quickbooks Enterprise v21 - Windows Server

Hello @mpark1111,

Thank you for keeping in touch regarding the operating system in question. Allow me to chime in and share additional information about the system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop.

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2021 version supports both Windows Desktop and Server operating systems. However, there are specific versions compatible specific for your program.

Here's the list:

  • Windows 10, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
  • Windows Server 2019, Standard and Essentials
  • Windows Server 2016, Standard and Essentials
  • Windows Server 2012 R2, Standard and Essentials
  • Windows Server 2012, Standard and Essentials

Please refer to the link provided by my colleague above for the complete system requirements. Also, note that QuickBooks requires you to use Windows natively and not through an emulator or virtual environment.

Additionally, it's important to secure a backup of your company file when making changes to the program. You can use this link for additional guidance on the process: Back up your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Please let me know if you have more questions about QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. I'll be right here to help.
