I’ve set up a few for clients with similar needs. QuickBooks Enterprise doesn’t connect directly to most biometric systems, so you’ll need one that exports data in a format QuickBooks Time or Desktop Payroll can read. uAttend and Icon Time have solid integrations - they can push hours to QuickBooks by employee and company file (works fine with multiple FEINs if each has its own payroll setup).
If you’re managing teams across time zones, check that the time clock system supports location-based settings rather than one global account time. That’s usually where cheaper biometric options fall short.
Another route is to use a middleware platform to sync approved time data from the biometric system into QuickBooks.
