I've been dealing with this issue for a couple years now, but am tired of the workarounds.
From the sales receipt screen, in the "Enter Item" box where I would normally key in a code for a sale (as in I'd punch in 5, which would be a large drink), it says "Invalid Input". This has been a problem for the last several years (it happened literally overnight July 2017) and I was hoping there is a fix.
Our workaround is to find each item in the item list, but that tends to take more time, especially when entering multiple items.
Lastly, I can change the date on the computer to a time well before the issue started happening and the problem goes away. For a multitude of reasons, I can't just change the date on the computer.
Is there a fix? I've searched and can't find anyone with a similar problem.
Usually, when entering a code or keyword on the Scan or enter item information section on the Sales Receipt page, the lists of items will automatically show up on the drop-down. Since you're experiencing issues while working with your sales receipt, I recommend repairing your QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
