Quickbooks Self Employed Offline - Servers Down

Anyone else unable to login to QB Self Employed this morning? First time I've seen this happen and confirmed the issue on two separate laptops and browsers.

Logging into QB Self Employed, you are usually met with the "We're fetching your data." message with the spinning circle above, however starting this morning, your data never loads. It will just sit there with that message while the circle spins indefinitely.

As a web engineer myself, QB's servers are responding with an HTTP 504 error, essentially that there servers are offline or taking too long to give a proper response.

There is literally nothing about this on the current QB status page, anyone else having this issue?

Quickbooks Self Employed Offline - Servers Down

Hello there, @danbartoninc.

I'll share insights about why you're able to seamlessly access your data in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Currently, we have an ongoing issue where our customers, like you, are unable to get rid of the prompt message saying "We're fetching your data." making you unable to work in QBSE. Rest assured we've already informed our engineering team and they've been all hands working to fix this as soon as possible.

While the workaround is not yet available, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support so you'll be added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive all the latest updates in the coming days via email message. To do so:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Search.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter a few words describing how you're unable to open your QBSE account in the What can we help you with? text area.
  5. Choose whether you want to start a chat or schedule a callback to connect with our specialists online.

For future reference, you'll want to consider reading this article for all the needed topics as your guide: Help Articles in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Also, you're able to read subtopics that will describe how a feature is used and how to accomplish tasks related to its functions.

We appreciate your patience as we're working on this. Please let me know by including my name, @JonpriL, in your reply in the comments below if you have any other QuickBooks concerns. Take care always and stay safe!

Quickbooks Self Employed Offline - Servers Down

With all due respect Jon you are severely misinformed.

First, Down Detector shows a huge spike this morning in complaints about unable to login...

Second, I have been told twice by customer support over chat the product team is aware of the issue this morning, but now with your comment, I am getting even more nervous.

Third, I am a web engineer by trade and have already 100% confirmed the issue on your end by logging into my account on two separate machines, two separate browsers, normal & incognito windows as well as attempting to login via your QB Self Employed Milage Tracker app on Android, which also produces the same error upon login, HTTP 504 as you can see in my attachment but also shown below...

I must say the support by QuickBooks these days is unbelievably atrocious given the conflicting information among support reps and the lack of updating your status page. You guys are a financial services company, not Disney+.

I have been a QB Self Employed customer for over 6 years now and we are also a corporate customer with QB Premier / Manufacturing Edition and without a doubt, I will be personally reviewing alternatives if this not addressed promptly as well as recommending to my clients to steer clear of Quickbooks given this ridiculous, conflicting level of support for such a vital service.
