I am having an error where I enter one transaction in my quickbooks and it works fine but then when I enter a second an error pops up saying "Another user has deleted.... and quickbooks must close." When I did some troubleshooting I found that many people said to download the quickbooks tool hub but I have a mac and the tool hub is only an .exe and cannot be used on a mac. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues and can help me figure it out?
Let's make sure to sort this out and prevent you from receiving the error again, jgriffith1.
The Tool Hub can only be used for the Windows version of QuickBooks. This is the reason the file is an .exe.
Can you also tell us if the entire error message says "another used has deleted company file and QuickBooks must close the company file". If so, let's make sure that the location of your file where it's saved is not connected at all to iCloud.
Follow the steps below to move your file to iCloud to your Desktop:
Once done, drag the file from your Documents folder going to Desktop. Then, create more transactions to check if you're no longer receiving the error message.
Aside from that, you can also follow the steps in this article just in case data issues might have caused the error message: Restore Your Backup Company File for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac
Let me know if you have follow-up questions with any of the details that I've shared with you. You can also create another thread if you need anything else.
Hi jgriffith1,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the error message when creating a second transaction. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
