App invoicing

my invoices are set up to have a footer, when I invoice from the computer browser, I can choose standard and it gives me the footer I need. On the app it always worked until a few months ago. Now when I invoice on the app, there is no footer. But there is my company logo. On the computer there is no logo but there is a footer. I need the legal wording in the footer and prefer to have my logo as well. Does anyone have this problem or a fix for this? I do most of my invoicing on the phone on the go as I run an hvac service company. Thank you.

App invoicing

Good day, @Tyeaton.

Creating a detailed and visually appealing invoice is essential for fostering positive relationships with our customers. I'm here to help you resolve issues and design a professional invoice that captures your client's attention.

You mentioned that you encountered difficulties while attempting to add a logo and footer to your invoice using both the mobile app and computer.

To address this, before we start troubleshooting the browser, let's first attempt to add your company logo and footer to your invoices in QBO to see if it functions correctly on your end.

  1. Log into your QuickBooks Online account using your web browser.
  2. Go to Settings Click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Find and click on Custom Form Styles under the Your Company section.
  4. In the upper right click New style and select Invoice to create a new template.
  5. In the template editor, go to the Design tab and find the option to upload your company logo. Upload and position your logo as desired.
  6. Switch to the Content tab, scroll to the footer section, and enter the desired text in the footer field.
  7. Click Save or Done to apply the changes.

To add your company logo and footer in QuickBooks Online using the mobile app, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
  2. Tap the main menu, usually shown as three horizontal lines or a gear icon.
  3. Select Settings then Custom Form Styles.
  4. Choose an existing invoice template or create a new one by tapping New Style.
  5. Go to the Design or Appearance tab, select the option to add/edit the logo, and upload your logo.
  6. Under the Content tab, find the Footer section and input your footer text.
  7. Save: Ensure you save all changes to update your invoice template.

If neither your mobile app nor your computer works when trying to add something to the footer or insert a logo, we can troubleshoot your browser.

Make sure to use the same login credentials on both your mobile app and computer. Log out of your account, close the browser, then sign back in.

If the issue persists, let's open your account using an incognito window to eliminate the possibility of a webpage issue. Here are the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If it's a success, return to your regular browser. Then, clear your cache to start afresh. If the issue remains, consider switching to other supported browsers installed on your system.

If it's the other way around, let's refresh the application to isolate the syncing issue. This process is similar to clearing the cache on your web browser.

For IOS, please follow these steps:

  1. Open your phone settings.
  2. Click General, then Select iPhone Storage.
  3. Choose QuickBooks from the list of applications.
  4. Hit Offload App to free up its storage without removing the documents and data for the app.

For Android:

  1. Proceed to the Home menu or tap the three dots in the right upper right corner.
  2. Tap on Settings, then select Refresh Data.
  3. Press Yes.
