With the version of QBO I have (12/17/23), these instructions aren't giving me the outcome I want. When I search for "Customer Contact List", QBO runs a report that I'm trying to modify under the "Columns", but I have to either select the eye icon to hide or see the column. Additionally, it appears that EVERY job each customer has done is also on the list. Please help!

This information and any other responses like it on the Internet are just plain useless! I have used a variety of accounting programs over a thirty year time period during my working career and they all had built in label components or simple report writer programs that could use the accounting data to print mailing labels. I volunteer for a nonprofit that is moving (not up) to QB Online simply because of the support sunset for the QB Desktop 2019 program we have been using for many years. Desktop 2019 program has its own built in label making ability. Why didn't the creator gods of QB Online put that same ability in QBO if they are insistent on limiting their customer base to the use of QBO so they can increase their profits through the subscription software model of business? Since this simple improvement may never happen maybe it is time to find a QB equivalent that can produce the labels we need to mass mail our communications to our donors.
Hello there, @Kringleguy1.
I am aware of the advantages for businesses like yours to print labels. I want QuickBooks Online to have this feature as much as you do.
But this feature is not available in QuickBooks Online. However, I strongly urge you to share your thoughts with our software engineers. They carefully examine customer feedback, especially when determining how to improve QuickBooks.
Here's how:
For future reference, if you want to print reports in QuickBooks Online, here are some resources you can read:
Feel free to comment below if you have questions about printing labels in QuickBooks Online. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
There are a LOT of QB Desktop users who use the print mailing label function. Why is it necessary (with QB Online) to go through all those gyrations just to print to a sheet of labels. Run report, export, mail merge, etc., etc. Please add this feature.
BTW, QB Online is vastly inferior to QB Desktop. One big deficiency is the inability to have MULTIPLE WINDOWS open in desktop. QB Online doesn't allow that.
Your feedback on accessing reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is valued, @Kmorrisnc. Know that we always want our customers to have the finest experience possible when pulling up data from the application.
I also understand how beneficial it is for everyone to have the ability to make customer mailing labels. In this regard, I suggest sending this suggestion to our product development team.
