I don't want anyone to accept online. I want them to contact me directly. I don't want pretty much ANY part of the automated stuff that keeps happening here. It's driving me crazy (I've already had trouble with the stupid system reverting back to offering credit card payments that I don't accept).
How can I remove that accept button so no one thinks they have accepted a bid, but I never hear about it?
Thank you

Hi - this method requires me to create an estimate - does this mean I have to do this every time I create one or will it remember for the next one? I don't want to have to be doing this every single time...??

Thanks for returning to this thread, Jo. I have some additional information to share regarding your query.
To turn off the accept button when creating new estimates, you will need to customize and turn off the Estimate Status. This customization will apply each time you create a new estimate transaction.
Alternatively, you can save a customized estimate format so that you won't have to recreate it. Here are the steps to do that:

alright, so now that I have customized an existing estimate by turning off the estimate status check box, how do I select that customization form to be the default for all newly created estimates? It doesn't seem to work - where do I go to pick my default format? Because when I go to create a new estimate again after doing this, I still
this works fine when I create a new estimate. However, I want to NOT have to uncheck that box every time. I tried to create another estimate and I had to uncheck the box AGAIN. Where do I go to make this the default for ALL Estimate forms in the future? Or, assuming these WERE the instructions for creating a default template, where the hell do I go to FIND this default template so it will automatically be what is used for each new estimate I create ?
Hi there, jodorais. There isn't a way that this customization will apply each time you make a new estimate transaction. We can send a product request about this.
Saving your preferred Estimate Status when processing an estimate is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. You'll have to manually toggle this preference on and off. With that said, I suggest sending product feedback about this. Your comments will help us improve our service and at the same time, provide you with the best possible experience.
To send one, you can follow the steps I'll share below.
