Is anyone seeing boxes for what used to be printer icon using Google Chrome for QBOnline?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, mcgoey.

I’d gladly assist you with your concern about the printer icon in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To clarify, are you referring to the printer icon when running reports on your QBO? You’ll want to refer to the screenshot below:

If you’re only seeing boxes on your end, it could be that something is causing the issue and unable you see the icons accordingly. Thus, I recommend performing browser troubleshooting steps. Doing so will enable us to eliminate common errors. It also helps improves the performance of the application and provides a secure working environment.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift +N

If you’re now able to see the icons properly, clear the browser's cache to keep this from happening again. Too much-cached data can slow down QuickBooks and cause unusual behaviors. You can also opt for other supported browsers if you have one.

Moreover, I added the following articles below for your reference when running financial reports and exporting them from QBO:

Keep me posted if you have more concerns about the printer icon in QBO. I’m just around the corner to assist. Have a good one!
