I heard a rumor that Intuit has not yet updated to provide the new form format?
I'm hoping this is a mistake as only 3 weeks away from beginning to prepare these forms that are due in less then 60 days, and software that has always supported these government requirements may not be!
NOT ACCEPTABLE.... my clients pay for the most part monthly for the software which should include the required government reporting that has always been provided... quit getting fancy and stick to business, please!~

Same here…but with QB Online. This is insane. Come on QuickBooks!
I've got some information about the new 1099 NEC.
@tkochmann In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can now print 3 forms on a page for 1099-NEC as long as you’re on the latest release with appropriate Ultra-Light Patches (ULIP) or Critical Fixes.
Here are the steps to update your software:
You need to close and reopen your QBDT account when the update is finished. Once done, click Yes to install the updates, then restart your computer.
You can use this reference to prepare and file your federal 1099s: Create and file 1099s with QBDT.
@RMcNeillTN At the moment, we're unable to provide you with a specific timeframe as to when this new 1099 NEC format becomes available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured you’ll receive updates via email before the form's submission deadline.
I've attached this article for you about preparing and filing your Federal 1099s with QBO: Create and file 1099s.
