A lot of our sales prices are zero cents. But if we run item report with the "Sales Price" field it always show the whole rounded number. How do I get it to stick. For example we have one item that is $65.00 but if I enter in 65.00 and save, it reverts to the whole number 65 with no .00 on the end. Then in the reports it shows the number as 65 and not 65.00.
We can set your preference to show the cents of your price, dvonderburg.
It's possible that the report settings is set not to show the decimals. We can set it up to show the decimals of your amounts and prices. Let me show you how:

That is the way I have it set but in our reports it still shows nothing past a decimal.
Thanks for getting back to us and providing an update of what's showing on your end, @dvonderburg.
With the same preference, my Item Price List report shows a decimal value. Since the option isn't working like the way it should, I recommend checking if the issue is with the company data or QuickBooks itself.
You can start by opening a sample company file. Here's how:
Right after, create a sample item with a decimal amount. Test the solution by running the same report.
If it works, the company file may be damaged. Let's open it and run the Verify and Rebuild Data Utility Tool to fix the problem.
Once done, follow the steps above except select verify instead of rebuild. Check out this article for more information: Fix data damage on your company file.
However, if the problem persists on the sample file, I suggest repairing the software. Doing so can fix any program-related issues or errors.
Prepare the Desktop installation CD or Download the installer from the website if it's purchased through the phone or online. Once done, perform these steps:

Well neither one of those solutions worked for me but I did find a solution myself. For the record these items were imported so I think the Excel spreadsheet had something to do with messing it up. All I did to fix it was open the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries and added .01 to each Sales Price record and then clicked save. Then I went back in the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries and changed all of the .01 to .00 and saved. Now it displays properly. Thank you for all your help and I hope this thread will help others that may encounter the same situation.
I came across this post after searching for a problem with the decimal point and ".00". I have sort of the same issues -- or it may not be even close to the same.
We created a new company file this past summer and imported our item list. Now everything that has zero cents after the decimal point doesn't show that part. I've attached a screenshot showing a couple of items that have this problem. The one that shows correctly as "$1.00" is one I edited. If I edit each item by itself, if it has a $1.00 price it shows as 1.00 on the edit screen, but still on the item list shows as 1. In order to make the change I have to go into each item, delete the 1.00, EXIT the item to save it, then go back in. At that point I can enter 1 or 1.00 and it's fixed.
The issue doesn't impact anything but my sense of uniformity (yes, I admit to having a bit of OCD), but if I could make it look the way it should I'd feel better. I tried the Edit Multiple Items feature - The prices show up there with the correct digits, i.e., "$1.00"
Long after the items were exported/imported I ran across an article that made me pretty sure it was a setting when I exported. I was just hoping for an easier (and less time intensive) solution than going through thousands of items just to fix an annoyance.
