Why does the batch edit Invoice feature no longer work? This seems to have coincided with the new system layout.

Thanks for posting here, Aaron. To help streamline the process of managing invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced, the program offers a new and quick way to edit multiple invoices. Let me show you how.

Currently, you can modify multiple invoices simultaneously from the main dashboard. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the + Create menu and then choose Batch transactions.
  3. Select Invoices as the entity type.
  4. Tap the Modify option in the Action menu.
  5. Pick invoices to edit or update.   image (137).png

You can also use the Filter feature to refine your selection and streamline your task.

For a more detailed walkthrough of this process and additional tips, check out this guide: Editing multiple invoices in QBO Advanced.

These steps should help you manage and update multiple invoices in one session, saving you valuable time and effort. If you have questions during the process, don't hesitate to leave a comment below.

That's great but why can we not do this from the customers page like we used to? This is much more efficient and user friendly. Furthermore, we have many sub customers and your above solution does not allow us to edit all invoices for the parent customer, only the sub individually.

Hi there, Aaron.

You're correct, Batch Edit Invoices feature has been updated with the new system layout in QuickBooks Online Advanced. While the functionality has shifted, we assure you that batch editing is still possible.

We've updated the workflow to streamline certain tasks. The current batch edit feature requires you to edit invoices for each sub-customer individually. If you prefer the old method, you can submit feedback directly to our development team. We can pass your comments on to our product development team so they can better understand how these changes impact businesses like yours. Here's how:

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Fill in your suggestions in the Feedback field.
  3. Select Next to send it.
