Hi! Using Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2020. While the Accountants Changes were pending, my desktop bit the dust. I reinstalled the software on my new PC and then Restored from my last back up. Now, a week later, the accountant has sent back the company file - but I cannot import changes. Not from the web nor as a file. It's just not an option. Is there a way to do this automatically or will one of us be required to re-enter all information? Thank you for your time.
I've got your back, @RunyonsManager. I'll help you import that accountant's changes with ease.
When you're unable to import accountant's changes. this may be caused by any of the following reasons:
You may have restored the wrong company file after reinstalling the software. Make sure you're opening the company file that has pending Accountant's Changes. If you've removed the restriction, you're unable to import the changes unless a backup with the restriction has been created. Look for the backup copy and restore it. Otherwise, you'll have to enter the accountant's changes manually to incorporate them into the company file.
