Resubscription for Desktop Data Import

We found out that we can no longer import desktop data after 60 days from subscription date.

So we cancelled our previous subscription and resubscribed after.

Now we can't still import the desktop data. We tried deleting also the current company file and set up a new one but it said we cannot do it because our subscription is beyond 60 days.

But we resubscribed already, isn't the subscription date should have restarted? How can we resolve this? We really need to import our desktop data through online migration tool.

Resubscription for Desktop Data Import

You need to sign up for a new blank QBO account. You can't use your old QBO account. Make sure to cancel it for good.

Resubscription for Desktop Data Import

Thanks for sharing your concern, intergrp. When you cancel and then resubscribe to QuickBooks Online (QBO), it doesn't reset your account as a new one. To successfully migrate your data to QBO, you’ll need to sign up for a completely new account. I'm here to guide you through the process.

Before signing up, you'll need to cancel your account first. Then, you may proceed to create a new account in QBO afterward.

To cancel your account, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon. Then, select Subscription and billing.
  3. Locate your purchased plan, then select Cancel.

Once you've canceled, your account will be permanently closed. You can then proceed to create a new account and subscribe to a new plan to start fresh.

Here's how:

  1. Go to our QuickBooks website.
  2. Select See plans & pricing.
  3. Choose a plan and select Choose plan
  4. On the checkout page, enter your billing information and credentials.

Once your new account is set up, you can begin migrating your data from QBDT to QBO.

If you encounter any difficulties while canceling your account, you can refer to this article for detailed steps: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.
