Run pack slip from sales order

Can I run a packing slip from a sales order without using the sales order fulfillment worksheet? I don't want to print a pick ticket or invoice first. I tried going to "create an invoice",  changing the template to my custom packing slip, picking my customer and sales order and it reverted back to an invoice. If I have to use the worksheet, how can I choose my custom form for pick list rather than the basic form?

Re: Run pack slip from sales order

Greetings, @ckennedy1.

I'd like to provide some resources to help ensure you're able to avail the full potential of the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet.

If you want to choose your own template in creating sales orders, then you'll not be able to to use the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet since we do not have an option to choose a template for that.

To choose a pick list, here's how:

  1. Go to Customers menu.
  2. Choose Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet.
  3. Select  Pick tab.
  4. Put a check mark on the checkbox that indicates the order to be picked from the Sales Order list.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Choose either Send to Device (mobile for paired devices only) or Print Picklist (for manual process).
  7. Select items to pick by following the prompts for the mobile or manual process.

Once the orders are picked, you can now start packing. For a more detailed information, you may check out this article: Pack tab in Sales Order Fulfillment.

If you need to further assistance with creating sales order using your custom forms,  I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. A specialist will be able to access your account on a secured environment and further help you via secured remote access session.

Here’s how you can reach them:

  1. Click the Help menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. In the Have a Question window, click Contact us at the bottom portion of the screen.
  4. Click Search for something else.
  5. Type in a keyword about your concern.
  6. Hit Search.
  7. Click on Start a Message.
