The sales graph on the dashboard, until just recently, would display a comparison between last year's sales to this year's in two different colors. You could set it for different time periods. This was really helpful to give me an Idea from month to month how I'm doing compared to last year. This option is now MISSING! Just gone. Anyone else run into this or know what the deal is?
I can see the significance of the Sales graph comparison in your QuickBooks Online dashboard, jeffb73. Let me provide some information to clear up any confusion regarding the sales graph.
I know how beneficial it is to have a sales graph with two separate periods to compare last year's and this year's sales easily. But this option is no longer available in QuickBooks Online.
However, there is a workaround you can use to view and compare the sales between two periods. You can select one period at a time from this year and then switch to last year to compare the sales.
Here's how:

The sales graph is there it no longer has the comparison option that allows you to compare this year's sales to last year's sales. I did clear the cache and try again but that didn't change anything. Why do they have to change everything constantly? This is the biggest complaint on your forum is how you roll out changes willy nilly with no regard to your subscribers. I waste more time with quickbooks just trying to figure out how I can do what I did the day before after they've switched everything around for the millionth time. I've used Adobe products for decades and the way they handle updates is so much better for the user. Their updates don't alter or impede your regular work flow and if it's a drastic change they give you the option to leave things the way they were. Quickbooks is insane! It's like my office is in order and then every week someone comes in and just moves everything around so it no longer works or if it does you spend hours every week trying to figure out how to do something that was easy and simple the week before. Can I please just have it the way it was before, when it worked?
Yes!!! And Yes! I want the same answer to this.
Viewing the Sales graph and comparing it to last year's performance on the QuickBooks Online (QBO) dashboard is essential for your business's growth, JT8181. Let me address this issue.
Currently, the option to compare this year's sales to last year's in the dashboard sales graph is unavailable. However, you can share your thoughts with our Product Developers, who may consider your suggestions for future updates.
Here's how:
As a workaround, you can follow my colleague @Archie_B's suggestion to manually compare sales by selecting one period at a time. View this year's data, then switch to last year's for a direct comparison.

Please keep in touch whenever you have other concerns about the QBO dashboard. I'll get back to you right away to help you further.
I really liked this feature and I am personally unhappy that is has been removed. Why would you remove something so easy to see and use? QB is a nightmare to use and navigate. Search for help online and you get hundreds of conflicting answers. I want out!
This report is very helpful as we can see our sales comparison quickly. I switched to QBO in May and was able to access this report on the Business Snapshot page until this week. Now I have two blank areas where the Sales Comparison and Expense Comparison Reports appeared. I was on the phone with the Help Desk for over an hour today and they assured me this is an issue being reported by other clients. They did call back and reported the issue will be fixed within 24 hours but I am not hopeful.
I spent another hour on the phone with QB Support Team. Still no resolve. All three users on our account have the same issue so it appears it is not a browser issue. QB support suggested I open a browser Incognito window and then open my QuickBooks account. Income Comparison Report and Expense Comparison Report are still missing from the Business Snapshot Dashboard. It is strange only those 2 reports are missing and the other reports are still available.
I appreciate you for bringing this to our attention, shaft. Your sentiments are valid and we understand the frustration and inconvenience you've experienced about the ongoing issue with the Sales Graph in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
