We inventory Polyester filter media in bulk rolls. We often cut down these bulk rolls into smaller rolls to sell. Is there a way to create some sort of BOM or a way to attribute the sale of the smaller roll as a portion of the larger roll? Thank you in advance

Let me help and point you in the right direction on how to create a bill of materials for your items, Filter maker.
Currently, you can set up a list of all components used to build a product in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). You may want to use a third-party application to create a detailed list of all the components, materials, and instructions needed to manufacture a specific product in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Though I'm unable to suggest which app to use, I can walk you through how to look for one on the QuickBooks Apps Center page. Simply enter a keyword into the search bar, or navigate to the Categories section and select the appropriate function. Click on each of the suggested programs to learn more about how it works. For a better comparison, you can also read the testimonials and comments from customers.
