Hi,
I'm new to quickbooks online.
My team wants to create an invoice early and have QBO send it automatically on the ship date (days after being created). In other words, we would want to create it and forget it. I tried the Recurring Invoice feature, but did not seem to work as it creates templates and templates can only be used once for each customer.
Any ideas how to accomplish this?
Thank you very much in advance for any ideas.

Hello there, @Exub.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We can create a recurring invoice in QuickBooks Online. You can modify the interval and start date so that it will send on the specific month you'd like and mark check the Automatically send emails so the system will follow the command after it has been created.
Here's how:
I've included this article about the process: Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online. This also contains sub-articles that will help you with your future tasks such as troubleshooting and managing recurring transactions.
You might also want to make some changes to your recurring transactions. Here's an article you read for the detailed steps and information: Edit a recurring template.
That's it! You should now be able to use the template you need.
I'm still open to your replies if you need further assistance managing recurring transactions. Have a great day ahead!
Thanks so much for the feedback. But I am afraid this does not quite meet my objective. We already tried the template approach but it works best with recurring invoices. We need it to also work with individual/one time invoices. The idea is to create the invoice and program so it is sent automatically at a specific date.
Any other feedback is most welcome
Thanks

You may need a task management app and a connector to integrate with your QBO.
Thanks! How and where do I find it?
You're most welcome, @Exub.
I appreciate you for trying the recurring templates. I'll share some details and another alternative about your invoices.
The recurring feature will help you to achieve your goal.
Please note that you can create multiple recurring invoice templates for many customers. But this will create an alternate template in the list.
If you don't want this option, you have an option to modify the old template information. This way, all your clients have just one template.
In addition, you have the option to utilize the third-party application mentioned by Fiat Lux - ASIA.
Let me guide you to where you can find the apps:
