When I email a sales order to a customer, the To email address for my customer defaults to whatever I have set up under main email in the customer information section... I want invoices to be sent to a different customer email address without having to delete the field and manually type the email address in everytime... For example, When sending a sales order to my customer, these emails need to go to [email address removed]. But the invoices need to be sent to their accounting department... [email address removed]. If I have main email set to [email address removed], I cannot batch send their email addresses to accounting because these emails will default to Jerry... has anyone found a solution for this? I have noticed I can add "alt email 1" and "alt email 2" under the customer contact information but I cannot figure out how to get invoices to default to alt email 1 and sales orders to default to main email.
I know a way so you can send sales transactions to multiple email addresses, @Boehl.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. Here's some information to manage these transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.
I can see how this feature could help your business. You may consider using a third-party application. This way, invoices will default to other email details, and sales orders default to the main customer email address.
You can check our Desktop Apps Center that contains available applications that compatible with QuickBooks. From there, you have the option to choose which tool works best for your business needs.
