Setting payment terms in QBDT for Mac 2022

Howdy Y'All,

My Mac died and I got a new iMac; QBDT for Mac 2016 wouldn't run with Big Sur, so I had to upgrade to 2022. When I print an invoice, now I get a "Past Due" note. I think it has to do do with payment terms, which I have never had to set before (all my customers pay upon receipt of the invoice). How do I keep this note from printing?

Thanks!

Setting payment terms in QBDT for Mac 2022

Good to see you here, PapaThad.

QuickBooks invoices will only post a past due stamp on the time these transactions are due. With this, you'll need to select the correct payment term on the invoice. However, if it's past due already, you can turn it off on a template level setting.

  1. Select Customer & Vendor Profile Lists in the Lists menu.
  2. Select Terms List.
  3. Click the Terms drop-down, then choose New
  4. Provide a name for this term, then choose Standard
  5. Click OK.

For more information, you can also check out this article: Set up payment terms

You might also want to read this article to learn more about the past due stamp on the invoice: Show Past Due stamp on invoices.

You can customize your invoice templates to control how they look and include info that's necessary for your business. If you wish to learn more about this, I'd recommend checking out this article: Use and customize form templates. It also includes details about importing or exporting form templates.

Let me know in the comments below if you have other concerns about monitoring past due amounts in your invoices in QBDT. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
