Hello pc6748, I'll help you set up your QuickBooks on your new device.
First, we'll have to purchase your second license. I'll show you how we can buy additional user licenses.
- Open your existing QuickBooks company file. Then, go to Help.
- Select Manage My License.
- Click Buy Additional User License.
We can then purchase an extra license online or over the phone from the screen that appears. We'll be given Intuit's contact information if you decide to use the phone option. If you select the online option, a new page with the ability to select how many licenses to purchase will open.
Once you already have your new computer, install the product based on the number of licenses you bought. We can directly go to this page: Install QBDT. When installing QuickBooks Desktop, we can use the same license and product numbers when you first installed it. After installation, activate QuickBooks Desktop by following the on-screen instructions.
Afterward, we can manually update your new license details since you're installing QuickBooks on a computer without a server or internet connection. Choose Help> Manage My License> Buy Additional User Licenses. Then, use the phone option to enter the same validation code you received when you purchased your additional license.
