Should I just move on to another bookkeeping and CRM software since nobody at Quickbooks seems to be capable of doing something as simple as changing my contact number?

Should I just move on to another bookkeeping and CRM software since nobody at Quickbooks seems to be capable of doing something as simple as changing my contact number? I have been trying for the past week to update my phone number on my merchant profile. I am unable to make any changes to bank accounts or edit any information because anytime I need to change something it wants to send a code to my old phone number. Even when I go to update my phone number it wants to "confirm my identity" by texting a code to my OLD phone number, which makes it impossible to update any information. I have multiple transactions stuck in quickbooks not being paid out to me because I am unable to update my bank deposit information. I have been on chats and multiple phone calls and hours of hold time and no one has been able to fix this. I was even emailed from QBO to complete a form to with correct phone number and link to upload form and ID. The form was not attached to the email. I requested a call back from a supervisor/managment and never received a call back. This blows my mind that I am having to go through this much trouble to do something as simple as change my phone number in the system. I hate to have to move all of my data to a completely different bookkeeping software but I'm in the process of looking for one to use because this is absolutely ridiculous that something so miniscule is keeping me from running my business effeciently and holding up critical cash flow.

I wish I could change your phone number on my end, @ItsMzJojo. I appreciate all your efforts.

That's not the experience I want you to have with us. I desire that your merchant phone number be changed immediately to allow you to pay for your stock transactions in QuickBooks without a moment's delay.

I'd suggest visiting this article to get the phone number request form: Recover your account when you can't sign in.

Once you see it, here's what you need to do:

  1. Take a high-quality photo or scan of your driver's license, passport, or other government-issued ID. Or, you can use a notarized document with your name and address.
  2. Fill up the form and choose I need to update my phone number only in the Reason for request drop-down.
  3. You'll receive an email from no_response@intuit.com within 24hrs. Then follow the steps set out in the email.

I also suggest calling back our support to follow up on the application. Make sure to request a callback within business hours to ensure a swift response. Please note that our QuickBooks Merchant supports are available Monday- Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM PT.

You can migrate data to another app and purchase a 3rd party conversion service if required.
