Should I move to QB Online (with Shopify POS)

Welcome to the Community, @Beaches.

I recognize that it's crucial to have a feature in QuickBooks Online that allows you to keep track of your sales with (Shopify POS).

QuickBooks Online has introduced a new feature that enables seamless integration with your clients' online sales channels like Amazon, Shopify, and eBay.

This eliminates the need for manual entry and cross-checking of sales and payouts in each store, as they are automatically recorded and can be reviewed and approved in the books. With QuickBooks Online's commerce accounting capabilities, your clients can:

  • Connect once and seamlessly import data to QuickBooks: Connect your Amazon, Shopify, and eBay e-commerce platforms and marketplaces with a fast and easy setup to automatically import sales and payouts to QuickBooks and map them to the right accounts. Once connected, QuickBooks keeps your books up to date.
  • Smart matching: QuickBooks automatically breaks down revenue, taxes, and fees across your sales channel and maps the payouts with the bank deposits.
  • See trends at a glance: Get insights into your sales, revenue, and top-selling products; run detailed reports on your business performance across your sales channels.

Make tax time easier: With detailed financial breakdowns automated, maximize your deductions to take some of the stress out of doing taxes.

Check how QuickBooks Online currently automates accounting across your clients’ e-commerce stores to learn more.

You'll regret moving to QBO.  It is NOT user friendly, and ALWAYS has something broken.  It is a hassle and SO not worth the money you will pay for it.

Also, Search the community!!!  MANY users that are using POS and QB Checking/ banking or whatever, are reporting QB "holding" their money for weeks, if not months on end, and/ or closing their accounts with money still in there that they later (up to 270 days) will have to collect from their state, because QB won't release it to their own customers.

FULLY do your homework.  Do NOT take the word of anyone here that works for QB.  They are paid to keep you in the dark.

@Beaches Museum

You can still purchase QB Desktop 2024 Premier Plus for Non Profit and integrate it with Enhanced Payroll. How many employees do you have to manage their payroll?

I think QB Desktop 2024 Premier Plus is the best choice for us.  We have 6 employees.  Thank you for your input.  I just need to discuss our options and my recommendation with my boss to get her buy-in.

You can call their sales team to purchase the license. Another option, you can get it thru selected partners and you can get $100 cashback.
