Square Updarte

Dag - Since that last Square update...

It looks like I am going to have to start manually updating Square Deposits with Journal Entries - particularly since i am already completely missing two days' Square Payouts. Is there a training video anywhere that covers:

- Splitting the deposits among the various accounts

- Also - does Square simply match the text string in the Account Titles to determine which mapped accounts to allocate the deposit amounts? Is their any way to enter Account Numbers into the Square Settings Account Mapping?

Thank you,

Mike

This now seems to be a permanent addition to my Integrations window:

We're still importing transactions needed to complete payout processing. Please check back shortly.

You won't need to worry about manually updating your Square deposits. Our engineering team is working on syncing issues that caused a brief delay in your transactions showing up in QuickBooks. They’re in the queue and will sync soon.

As for training videos on splitting deposits across accounts, we don’t have those available right now. However, here are the steps on how to split a deposit into multiple bank accounts.

Go to + Create > Bank deposit. Select your primary account from the Account dropdown. Check the transactions to include, then add a new line, select the second account from the Account dropdown, and enter the amount for that account as a negative value. Once done, click Save and close.

Regarding the account titles, yes, the program matches Square transactions using item names, so make sure those align with your Products and Services list.

For inquiries regarding entering account numbers into Square's mapping settings, please contact Square support directly for further assistance.
