I can see how convenient it is for you to use the old user interface. For now, it's best to relay your feedback to our Product Development team to improve your QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and click Feedback.
2. Provide your feedback or product suggestions.
3. Click Next to submit.

Agreed. The new interface is absolutely dreadful.

Efficiency in entries is part of accounting and having to relearn where the functions have moved once a month and now with this major update pushed with zero warning or access to "Classic" view to assist in the transition Intuit Desktop or a competitor software is looking better and better.
