Subscribe to a new account

Hi,

I was previously using QBD 2013, really out of date. I made a new subscription to QuickBooks Online and realized that the trial version was for the US users. Following the info available on community discussions, I deleted this subscription. And when I am trying to make a new subscription to QuickBooks Global there is an error message "We couldn't process your payment. Make sure your billing info is up to date. If the issue persists, please contact support and reference this message. (Error code:-81624) Update billing info"

I updated my billing info and tried to use a new Payment Card and still have the same problem. Is there any way to solve this problem and have a new subscription for the right QBO, the Global or international version? Do I have to wait a bit after the cancellation to make a new subscription?

Your quick response will be very much appreciated as I am stuck and is unable to manage my business accounts.

You can open a QBO Global version account anytime with the same email address. You can also use PayPal to pay for your subscription if you're having trouble paying with your credit card.

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Thib.

I'm here to help you resolve the error you've received to subscribe successfully to QBO Global version.

The error -81624 that you've encountered when trying to make a subscription is a result of the bank blocking or failing to authorise or validate a payment transaction related to QBO.

Check out the pointers below on how to resolve the error:

  • Your card billing information is correct and up to date.
  • The billing address in your QBO account matches the address on your card.
  • The contact number is formatted correctly, using the +area code.
  • There are no special characters or symbols (such as @ or *) in your billing address. Special characters will cause errors.

After making sure that the above information is set and you're still having an error, try clearing your cache and cookies or try updating your payment details using a private browser.

Here are the following keyboard shortcuts to go incognito or private browsing:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Restart your browser right after.
