Suddenly, the description box on an estimate will only display one line of type. Called QB for support and was told they are not allowing you to expand the box.

You can not see the description of the item you are entering. I was told to create a new template? What? Why do they keep messing with things that are not broken? I have over 50 orders to enter today and can not see wth I'm doing. Anyone else having these issues?

I totally am having this issue and spoke with a QB rep today.  She advised me to write the description needed in Word or a Text file and then copy/paste it into the Description Box.   That is really not ideal for my workflow. Additionally, it won't even allow me to select and copy all of the text in the Description Box to erase it.  I think I just have to hit Backspace for a minute or two to erase everything.   Major malfunction with QuickBooks in my opinion.  I agree with you, why do they try to fix things that aren't broken?  Leave it alone!  I'm so mad I could spit.

Regarding removing text from the Description field from your Estimate window, Paul, you can press and hold Ctrl + A to highlight all the text, then use Ctrl + C to copy and Ctrl + V to paste, or please press Backspace to delete after you highlight the texts.

Once your clients approve your estimates, you can decide to convert them, or if you have progress invoicing turned on, choose how much you want to invoice. You can check this article to streamline the process: Set up and send progress invoices.
