Support on enhancement requests

I know that a user can submit enhancement requests to Intuit, but a single user wanting something carries much less weight than if a number of users would benefit from a particular suggestion.  Does the community have some method of expressing group support for enhancement requests?    For example, I am currently thinking of two ...

1- A request to have a column on the Customer Information screen that would show the "Discount date" in addition to the invoice date and net due date.

2- A request to provide to allow BOTH options when an invoice is paid short:  the ability to write off a portion to (for example) Discounts Allowed coupled with the ability to leave the remaining portion of the shortage as an open balance on an invoice(s).

I have used QB for many moons and my experience is that Intuit doesn't really respond well to user suggestions, and users are the ones in the real world who know best what improvements would be of help.

Any thoughts, comments, criticism, ridicule, etc.???

Support on enhancement requests

Hello @Big-Al,

It's not the experience we want you to have regarding submitting requests. I agree with you that users are the ones who can help when it comes to the improvements needed for the product.

I would feel the same in that situation if my suggestions aren't part of the future updates. Also, some method of expressing group support for enhancement requests is unavailable in the Community space.

Since there are many factors our development team takes into consideration when deciding our roadmap, there's no set number of requests that push any feature to the front of the line. However, our customer's needs are always part of the decision-making process.

The best thing you can do is leave detailed feedback for them and let them know how important it is for your business. For updates and changes, I recommend you visit this website: https://www.firmofthefuture.com/. Also, we want to thank you for using our QuickBooks product for many years.

You can add custom discounts as items on your invoices. To learn more about the process, check out this article: Use discount and subtotal items on an Invoice.

Reach out to us here in the Community anytime you need assistance requesting features or navigating QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you some more.

Support on enhancement requests

I attempted to go to the "firm of the future" and found it not so good.  It kept thinking that I was asking questions about QB Online and I couldn't figure out how to switch to Desktop Enterprise.  Also, trying to find out how to make enhancement suggestions or requests seems to be well hidden, which I have generally found with Intuit.  I appreciate your response, but again, Intuit seems to have found a difficult way for people to actually make suggestions.  A common problem when the people writing the code aren't the ones actually using the product in the real world.  It would be nice if they made it a single click to "Make Enhancement Requests" that took a user to a site to select which QB version the request was for, and then right into the screen to submit the request ... but that would be far too simple and direct.  When I have more time to spend, I'll have to try to find whatever Intuit thinks is the best way now.  Customer service is clearly not at the top of the priotity list for Intuit.
