I took my primary vehicle out of service last month and replaced it with another. If I simply edit the vehicle info in QB, does it save my mileage entries for the former vehicle?
Hello, jfraley.
I'll share some overview on what would happen if you edit the vehicle information in Self-Employed.
Editing the vehicle information won't delete your mileage entries from the former vehicle. They'll remain in your Self-Employed account for the current tax year, so you can go ahead and edit the vehicle details for the new one.
Just make sure to categorize those unreviewed mileage entries from the former vehicle before editing the vehicle information.
I should also mention that editing the vehicle name and model is retroactive. So, whatever changes you made on the name will affect the existing entries.
