the Journal Entry More button is missing

Until recently when I entered and saved a journal entry in Quickbooks Online the More button would appear on the bottom of the screen.  There I could print the transaction.  It is not there anymore.  Now I have to search for JE, select it then the More button is back.  Why did this change?

the Journal Entry More button is missing

Hello, Steel Valley.

Thank you for reaching us here in the Community. I've tried creating a journal entry (JE) for both new and old interfaces and found out that the More button will only appear once you save the JE and then re-open it.

To learn more about the journal entry in QuickBooks Online, you can read this article: Create a journal entry in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, here's a reports you can run in getting an overview of the transactions recorded in the system.

Please know I'm just here anytime if you need other help with QuickBooks. Have a great day!

Quickbooks should put it back.  I should not have to go find the Journal Entry, open it back up to print it.  This only changed in the last month.  I may have to do 40 or more journal entries in a day so this is extra time.

Appreciate you for getting back to us, Steel Valley.

I see how you would like to have the old way of how journal entry works.

What you have experienced is the current update of the system. Still, there are other ways that you might consider doing to print journal entries at once by utilizing the Advanced Search feature or running the Journal entry report.

Through Advanced search:

  1. Go to the Magnifying glass icon and click the Advanced Search blue link.
  2. Select Journal Entries.
  3. Make sure to set the correct date and include other details required.
  4. Click Search. You can click the small Gear icon to add more columns.
  5. Click the Print icon.

Report:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and search for Journal.
  2. Click the Customize button in the upper-right corner. Under the Rows/Columns section, make sure to tick all the necessary details for the JEs.
  3. Se the reporting date correctly.
  4. Hit Run report to reflect all the changes.
  5. Click the Print icon.
  6. You can also export it to PDF and print it as a PDF (if you want).

Still, I'd highly recommend sharing this feedback with our Product Team. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback. This way, they'll know your insights and how you want QuickBooks work for you conveniently.

For additional details about recording journal entries in QuickBooks Online, you can check this article: Journal Entry.

If you have additional insights to share with us about the update, please don't hesitate to let me know by adding a new post below. Giving you a good experience with our program is our priority, Steel Valley. Stay safe always.
