Trying to reset System Admin code via reset tool

QB POS V19

 

I tried using the reset tool for the admin password and am getting the following error.

 

error validating password reset code

 

I have the correct token...

Greetings,  @SWAT518. I'll direct you to the best help for fixing the error about being unable to authenticate the reset code for QB POS needs further internal attention.

 

There's a need to check your account in a safe environment to ensure that its data are accurate and safe. Considering that, I recommend contacting Merchant Services and raising the specific error you have with resetting your QB POS V19 password. 

 

Here's how if you have a QuickBooks Online (QBO) account:

 

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select (?) Help.
  3. Select the Assistant tab to get help from the QB Assistant, or choose the Search tab to enter your question and find Help articles.

 

If you have a QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account that's connected to your POS, feel free to utilize these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Help tab and pick QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  2. Type in a short description of your issue.
  3. Then, click Continue.
