no error message encounter, when I entered the name of my other company, it shows up on QuickBooks Connect, but it’s not highlighted, and I’m unable to click on it and connect.

no error Messages encountered. When I type in the name of my other company, it shows up under QuickBooks connect but it’s not highlighted, thus it doesn’t allow me to click on it and connect the two companies

Since the option is greyed out, we can rectify this by performing basic troubleshooting steps. There are times when some functions don’t work according to their task, this includes other options, buttons, or incorrect display of the data. 

 

To start, we can access your company file using a private window. A private window is a helpful tool for troubleshooting browser-related difficulties as it won't preserve any history. The following are the keyboard shortcuts: 

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

Once done, let’s give your browser a fresh start by clearing the cache or cookies to prevent this from happening again. If not, using one of the supported browsers can also be a smart choice.
